🦋GICLEE uses a 12-colour color system as opposed to the 4-colour system used in home printers. Hence, a giclée print will have more colours and shades, and will produce a more accurate copy of your art compared to other printers. Even the quality of the ink used is much better than most other printing methods.
🦋GICLEE uses a combination of environmentally-friendly pigment ink with archival substrates including matte photo paper. This makes the print long-lasting, luxurious and extremely close to the original artwork.
The beauty of a giclée print is that the color reproduction is of such high quality that each movement and blended pastel application within the piece can be seen in great detail.
🦋 gi·clée is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints are usually produced. These large format inkjet printers use small spraying devices that can both match color and apply ink precisely, giving artists a high-quality print of their original art
🦋GICLEE on paper. UV protective non-glare glass such as Museum Glass is the best option for paper giclee’s. With my right paper stock and ink set, my Giclée paper and canvas prints are archival, which means that they'll last for 150 to 200 years. It will retain its quality during your lifetime.
A wide variety of substrates on which an image can be printed with such inks are available, including various textures and finishes such as matte photo paper, watercolor paper, cotton canvas, pre-coated canvas, or textured vinyl.
